Story[]
Jon, Masey, Drizzile and Rotom are outside the stadium after healing at the Pokemon Center.
Rotom-Dex: And in there is the beginning of your next competition!
They all enter and Jon quickly registers into the League and then returns back to Masey, Drizzile and Rotom who have all got lunch, and some lunch for Jon too.
Jon: All done!
Masey: Awesome!
They begin to eat their food and they see lots of trainers and spectators walking around.
Masey: Look at everyone here!
Jon: There is a lot of people here. More than any other competition.
Masey: I wonder how many trainers are competing this year.
Jon: I’m guessing tonnes.
Nate then walks over to them and joins them on the table, with some lunch he has just grabbed.
Jon: Nate!
Masey: Glad to see you here!
Nate: Seems you guys are the first to arrive.
Jon: You haven’t seen anyone else then?
Nate: No. Thought I’d be the first here.
Masey: I wonder where the others are.
Jon then sees Josie walk by and towards the Hotel through the lobby. Josie gives everyone a little wave as she walks by.
Nate: Doesn’t seem like she wants to join us.
Jon: She’ll be going over strategies and everything ready for the competition.
Masey: I wonder what she will bring?
Jon: Probably unpredictability.
Nate: Everyone needs to try and be unpredictable.
Masey: I’m so excited to watch the battling!
Jon: I’m excited to take part!
Nate: You always are.
Jon: You can’t deny that you are too.
Nate: Of course I am!
Then Rosa, Nathan and Ed arrive having registered. And they join the table, but with no food.
Ed: Hello everyone!
Rosa: How are you guys doing?
Jon: We are doing good. Only beat Raihan a week ago.
Nathan: We saw the match. Us three met up before hand and watched it.
Nate: How are you guys doing?
Nathan: Amazing, thanks.
Rosa: All registered and everything. Got our room keys too.
Masey: Room keys?
Jon: Oh right.
Jon hands Masey a room key.
Jon: We have been put in the same room but two single beds.
Masey: That’s fine.
Nate: Who do you guys wish to battle in this competition?
Ed: Jon.
Jon: I’m wishing to fight all of you, and win!
Rosa: Good luck if you want to beat us!
Nathan: We aren’t backing down that easily.
Jon: I was hoping not!
Masey: You are all fired up.
Jon, Masey and Nate finish their meals.
Rosa: Right, us three better get to our rooms and prepare.
Rosa, Nathan and Ed leave the table and head to their rooms.
Jon: What will you do now Nate?
Nate: The same as the others. Go to the room and then have a look around Wyndon before the competition begins tomorrow.
Masey: Well I hope you enjoy Wyndon and do well in the league.
Nate: Thanks.
Nate gets up and leaves.
Jon: What do you mean he does well, who are you cheering for?
Masey: I just want everyone to win, but I know that can’t happen.
Jon: I get what you mean.
Then Jon’s eyes get covered up with some hands.
Jon: Who is that?!
When the hand come away from Jon’s face, Laura is shown sitting next to him.
Jon: Laura! You made it!
Laura: I told you I would.
Masey: It’s good to see you again.
Laura: So, you registered?
Jon: I was the first one out of my friends to do so.
Masey: And that’s uncommon.
Jon: Hey! Where will you be staying Laura?
Laura: I’m using the other spare bed in Nate’s room.
Masey: Ah I see. So who are you rooting for? Must be difficult with Jon and Nate being your brothers.
Laura: I’m rooting for them both, to do as well as they can. Also, Mum and Dad said they’ll watch the whole competition with the big screen and all your Pokemon too!
Jon: Awesome! Even though I have a lot of Pokemon from Galar, I’d like to use some of my other Pokemon in some battles too.
Masey: That makes sense.
Jon: Josie, Ed, Nate, they all know my Galar Pokemon well.
Marnie and Tyler are shown registering for the competition. Marnie waves hello as she walks by and into the shops. Tyler sits down next to Masey.
Tyler: I finally made it!
Laura: You get lost?
Tyler: No, just a lot of hold ups. Mainly Pokemon I wanted to catch.
Jon: Did you catch any?
Tyler: Yes! But I am not telling you who.
Jon: I was hoping you wouldn’t.
Masey: Why?
Jon: It makes the excitement even higher when I see the Pokemon for the first time. And then having to try and strategise against it.
Tyler: You have been waiting for this, I can tell.
Jon: Yep!
Laura: Look, seems like they are making an announcement.
Everyone looks at the screen as Leon is on screen.
Leon (On TV): Hello everyone! Registration is coming to a close, but it seems that everyone has registered. With this, we have the biggest amount of trainers ever! In this competition, we are looking at 1024 competitors!
Jon: Whoa!
Masey: That’s a lot!
Leon (On TV): If you look on screen now, you will see who is facing who, and the competition will start at 3pm. So good luck to everyone!
Leon disappears off screen and they now show who is battling who and what time. The shows 256 battles per slide, so seeing who is battling a lot easier. The screen keep going through each slide, spending 30 seconds on each.
Tyler: Josie is the first one up.
Laura: I wonder if she will be up for it.
Masey: What do you mean?
Jon: Going up first is horrible. The feeling of not losing is higher as you never want to be the first one to lose in the competition.
They keep looking at the screens.
Jon: I’m battling a bit after Josie at 5pm.
Tyler: Then I’m after your battle.
Masey: Nate is battling after Tyler.
Laura: Rosa, Nathan, Marnie and Ed are all after Nate.
Masey: This will be a great competition!
Jon: Sure will. Seems like I am facing him.
Rotom-Dex checks who the competitor is.
Rotom-Dex: He is called Louis, seems to be well known in the Sinnoh Region.
Jon: Nice!
Tyler: Well, we all better get ready. I’ll make my preparations and then sit in the stands.
Jon: I’ll be doing the same, but I think Laura, Masey and I will be sitting together. I really want to see what Josie brings to the table!
Laura: You seem to be more fired up for her than yourself.
Jon blushes a little bit.
Masey: Because he loves her.
Jon: Shut up! I want everyone to do their best and be fired up for the competition.
Tyler: Well, I’ll be taking my leave.
Tyler waves goodbye and leaves.
Jon: We best drop our stuff off and then meet back here around 2:30pm and then head to the stands to watch Josie’s battle.
Laura: Right, I’ll see you soon.
The screen freezes on everyone going their different ways, getting ready for the competition.
