|
Ash's Swampert was the second Pokémon that Ash caught during his training in Kalos after returning from Hisui, and his seventy-sixth overall.
Personality
Swampert is a playful and curious Pokémon, but has shown to be focused during battle. Much like Beedrill, Swampert felt guilty for his actions even if he wasn't in full control, but was able to move on when he earned the forgiveness of Volcanion, Magearna and the other Pokémon at Nebel Plateau. Once he settled into Ash's team, he became more comfortable around his teammates and people. He acts like a peacekeeper and is friendly towards others. He also uses his fin when needed to locate someone or something.
History
Prior to Series
Swampert was under the ownership of Levi and Cherie when they fought Ash and his friends at Azoth Kingdom to rescue Magearna. He was later freed when Alva's Mega Wave Crystal broke and escaped.
Return to Kalos
In Meeting Up with Mythicals!, Ash returned to Kalos and visited Nebel Plateau to visit Volcanion and Magearna. It is revealed later that the Pokémon that were under Alva's control have become protectors of Nebel Plateau to make up for what they had done, Swampert included. With Volcanion's blessing, Swampert and a few of the others who had been controlled wished to go with Ash, which he accepted after being assured that Nebel Plateau would still be protected.
