Bath Mountain
"This volcano is allegedly overdue to erupt. In the meantime, enjoy the view!"

Location of Bath Mountain in Sanclairia.

Bath Mountain is a major location in Tropes vs. Women in Pokémon Training.

Based on two areas in Bath County called Hot Springs and Warm Springs, this area is a massive volcano that takes the "hot" part too literally. Apparently, the local power company has figured out how to use a combination of the volcano and Heatran as a backup generator in times of power outages; this has resulted in Heatran taking on a Water/Electric-type Sanclairian form.

You first encounter this area after beating Norma. She'll tell you to go fight Giulia in Bore Auger City, but just then, a news report comes on the TV claiming that Bath Mountain has been erupting quite a bit recently, and because the Bore Auger Gym is downwind of the volcanic ashfall, Giulia has shut her Gym down "until it's safe". Since the authorities are in Highland Town, you must go there to figure out what's going on. You'll overshoot the volcano the first time you encounter it.

You learn that, apparently, there's a curse on Highland Town that causes the people to "change genders" when the volcano erupts, and you see multiple live examples of this by way of several people acting like the cringiest stereotypes of both genders possible. After a comedy of errors, you finally get to explore Bath Mountain, where you eventually run into Ryleigh manipulating a Shadow Femmbutch. You then have to run back and forth between Highland Town and the mountain, without your Party at one point, in order to defeat her for good...until she comes back as a Team Femme Admin.

One unique thing about this area is that it's possible to fish for wild Pokémon in the lava, despite the fishing rod being made out of wood. Apparently, the rod was fashioned from pieces of the boat in Corona Mountain.

The following Pokémon evolve by being leveled up in Bath Mountain:

Finally, at some point after beating Christina, you can come back here for a cheap throwaway battle with a down-and-out, weakened Anitra.

Alex once planned for an HM move, "Lava Surf", to be usable here to Surf on the lava. It was taken out, and the Rubber Life Raft seen in the final game does not allow you to do the same thing.
