History

As a Pokémon available for use at Professor Elm's lab

Benji first encountered Meganium as a Chikorita when he was going to pick out his starter. Unfortunately of the three starters, Cyndaquil and Totodile had gotten into mischief, resulting in their capture by Team Rocket. Benji and Chikorita teamed up and ended up saving the two. While picking his starter, Benji decided that Chikorita was the one and chose her.
