Falkner Hayato (born December 11, 1984) is a Johtoan Flying-type Pokémon Trainer. He is the Gym Leader of the Violet Gym since 28 May 2004.
Career[]
1997-2000: Gym run and League[]
Falkner Hayato started his gym run in late 1997 at age 12. He traveled through Johto solo. His run ended in 2000 after he defeated Clair Ibuki at the Blackthorn Gym.
On 11 April 2000, Hayato challenged the Elite Four for the first time. He defeated Karen Kurai (1-0), but lost the next match to Blue Oak (0-2).
On 3 September 2000, Hayato challenged the Elite Four for the second time. He lost the first match to Lorelei Yanagi (0-1).
2001: Suspension[]
In October 2000, Falkner was caught using HP Up on his Pidgeot. He was suspended from entering Pokémon matches for the 2000-01 season and the rest of 2001.
Falkner used this suspension to train his Pokémon abroad.
2002-2003: Return to training[]
On 10 March 2002, challenged the Elite Four for the last time and lost to Lorelei Yanagi (0-2) in the first battle. After this defeat Hayato decided to end his attempts and return to Violet City to become a trainer at his father's gym.
2004-present: Violet Gym Leader[]
Falkner succeeded his father Walker as Gym Leader on 28 May 2004, after his father decided to retire.
