Ferndrake is a bipedal draconic humanoid with tough scaly black skin and bright yellow eyes. Moss forms along it's back and carries over into it's tail where vines grow unto the tip which forms three leaves at the end.
It's head has the same crown-like design as it's pre-evolution using three leaves.
Gender Differences[]
There are no visible differences between female and male Fernigon.
Behavior[]
Unlike it's previous evolutions, Ferndrake revel in the spotlight, and dislike being left alone in their dens. They are known as the Hunter Pokémon because they take the most liberties of their species and hunt for food out in the open, as opposed to Fernigon who prefer to stick closer to their nests.
Habitat[]
Wild Ferndrake live in dense forests where their young live without human interaction. Most Ferndrake leave their nests to hunt, sometimes for days at a time before coming back.
Diet[]
Ferndrake's diet consists mainly of berries, but they are also carnivores. They are the hunters, and will venture out into the wild to retrieve berries for their young.
Ferndrake's original name was Fernigon, but the name was changed to Ferndrake because that sounded cooler.
The name Fernigon was given to it's pre-evolution
The very first concept of Ferndrake's design was a long serpent made of leaves
This obviously couldn't fly because there is already a grass snake starter in Gen 5.
Origin[]
Ferndrake comes from the original design made in 2014 using the Nintendo 3DS Camera app brushes, specifically the leaf brush and black color. The original design was that of a long serpent made of leaves, but this was changed to be more unique.
Name Origin[]
Fernigon is a combination of the word fern and the suffix -drake, which comes from the Latin word for dragon, "draco."
