Eggion (Japanese エグジン Egujin) is a dual-type Ground/Steel Pokémon introduced in Generation Z.

It evolves from Scrambust at level 30 while holding a Soldier's Helmet. It is the final form of Molegg.

Biology[]

Physiology[]

Eggion are large mole-like Pokémon that live inside of egg shaped army tanks. The tanks they construct using metal that they eat, and act as armor and their homes. The egg that once formed around their pre-evolutions transform into a mighty tank that can topple over enemies and provide as cover. They have yellow eyes, and a black line underneath both. On top of their head they wear a Soldier's Hat.

The tank is rather large, made entirely of metal with green spots similar to it's previous egg. It has two treaded wheels.

Behavior[]

Eggion are mostly used by the military due to their powerful armor and weaponry. They live scarcely in cities and in burrows with other Molegg.

Habitat[]

Eggion live very scarcely in cities and in burrows. They are mostly used by the military to deploy troops and for weaponry.

Diet []

Eggion's diet consists of metal.

Artist's Notes[]

Tankegg

Tankegg (2014)

2016Eggion

Beta Eggion (2016)

  • Eggion's original name was "Tankegg"
    • Tankegg was originally just a buffer Molegg coming out from underground.
      • The first Tankegg concept would eventually be reworked into the Legendary Pokémon, Diggerole's design.
      • This design was also not officially part of the 2014 version of the PokéDex.
    • Tankegg was added to the PokéDex in 2016.
      • He was renamed "Eggion" subsequently.
      • 2016 Eggion's design was reworked in 2020 to match what I envisioned in my head when I created it.
  • Scrambust originally didn't exist in any PokéDex, and was added to bridge the gap between Molegg and Eggion.

Origin[]

Eggion's design was inspired by the random idea of having Diglett, instead of coming out of the ground, it popped out of a tank. That's basically what it is.

Name Origin[]

Eggion comes from "egg" and "engine."
