Jane asked Professor Rowan if she could have Riolu has her starter Pokémon. She, Chimchar, and Jane start on their journey with Ash, Dawn, Brock, Piplup and Pikachu. She, Chichmar, and Jane went to Route 201 to find some Pokémon and run across a Starly and Shinx. In Route 202, she found an injury Ralts which Jane treated back to health. She was treated by Nurse Joy and Chansey in Jubilife City. She was sleeping with her trainer and Ralts where she was woke up by a mysterious man (which Jane know as Carter Grayson, her husband). It was revealed that she, and Dana's Riolu, Ryan's Riolu are siblings.
