Generation 9 is the 9th generation of Pokémon. This page is work in progress.
It contained 173 new pokémon and the regional pokédex reached 452. Like the Generation 8 games, only pokémon in the regional pokédex along with some special pokémon can be transferred. The special pokémon are the same as in Generation 8 as well. The first two games in the series released on January 6, 2021, and later "Ultra" versions came out on April 17, 2022.
