Lillie (リーリエ Lilie) is a main protagonist of Tales of the White Vast, a sixteen year old girl born in the Alola region, her exact background is rather unknown since she intentionally keeps a large amount of her past a complete mystery to others. Lillie aspires to become a Pokémon Trainer in spite of her dislike towards battling or the general idea of seeing Pokémon get hurt.
She debuts as Hilbert's traveling companion in The Ultra Purification Saga, alongside Molayne, as the three of them travel the Alola region.
History[]
Prior to start of series[]
Lillie was born on November 18, 1996. She was the only daughter of Lusamine and Mohn, and the younger sister of Gladion.
The Ultra Purification Saga[]

Lillie first appears as a girl with amnesia, her name being the only thing she remembers, she lives on Melemele Island and works as an assistant for Professor Kukui and takes an interest in researching Pokémon. In spite of that, Lillie dislikes Pokémon battles and hates the idea of seeing them get hurt, her only Pokémon is an unofficial one that she nicknames Nebby for short. After witnessing the brave heroism of Hilbert after rescuing Nebby and being chosen to have a Z-Ring by Tapu Koko, Lillie took an interest in going on a Pokémon journey of her own, though she was hesitant in fear of leaving Professor Kukui behind.
The Professor insists that Lillie travel on a journey to hone her skills, learn more about herself, and potentially recover some of her lost memories. She agrees and decides to travel the Alola region with Hilbert and Molayne, provided with a Rotom Pokédex, and given a Litten to protect her on her journey.
Throughout her journey, Lillie becomes a more confident trainer and realizes the importances of Pokémon battles. Lillie reunites with her brother Gladion and doesn't recognize him at first until learning that she has amnesia. Her memories are pieced together as she continues the rest of her journey. Lillie learns that her memories were actually erased by the Ultra Beasts and that she was actually trying to protect Nebby from her mother this whole time.
Lillie at first is heartbroken at the idea of having to battle against her mother and that she was corrupted by the Ultra Beasts but realizes it's necessary to rescue her from the Ultra Beasts. After Hilbert participates in the Alola League, Lillie alongside Hilbert, Molayne, Gladion, and Hau befriend two people named Dulse and Zossie, who name them all Ultra Guardians.

Being a relatively new Pokémon Trainer, Lillie hasn't captured very many Pokémon on her journey. She usually prefers to befriend Pokémon and later see if they would like to be captured later on, and tries her best to avoid battles whenever it's possible.

- Lillie starts out being Professor Kukui's assistant, continuing the trend of Hilbert's female traveling companions having some connection to the regional professor; such as Bianca who became Professor Juniper's assistant, May who was Professor Birch's daughter and Dawn who was Professor Rowan's granddaughter.
