- May: May and Mudkip are good friends, but Torchic sometimes wishes things were better without Mudkip, because she was afraid to be left out. May does love both of them, though.
- Torchic Torchic used to feud with Mudkip because Mudkip took the spotlight sometimes. But after Veevee evolved and May won the battle between her and Team Rainbow Rocket, they started to like each other.
