"One Last Climb" is the one-hundred-second chapter of the Pokémon Eclipse story, and is the fourteenth chapter of the Alola Arc.
Plot[]
Sam and Alice are treated to a nice dinner at Benji and Susan's restaurant, where their father and mother toast their children, the completion of their Island Trials, and their imminent challenging of the Pokémon League in front of the entire restaurant. With the extra pressure added onto him, Sam cannot sleep that night, and Alice finds him sitting on the edge of the roof of their apartment. She decides to join him, and together, they talk about Sam's fears of having to fight trainers stronger than Hapu, who he barely defeated, as well as his missing of Starlight and Fluttershy, who he feels gave him a lot of his strength when he battled. He adds that with them doing their battles with the Elite Four on their own is going to make him feel more by himself than ever. Alice once again tells Sam that the only person he can possibly disappoint at this point is himself, as their Pokémon, friends, and family will always be proud of them and what they've done.
The next morning, Sam and Alice bid Benji and Susan goodbye as they fly from Hau'oli City to Mount Lanakila, reaching there earlier that afternoon. They are greeted by Guzma, and upon entering the Pokémon Center for some last minute supplies, all of the Trial Captains and Kahunas, as well as Kaj, are all there to wish them luck. As Sam and Alice purchase their things, the trainers all fondly reminisce on their encounters with Sam and Alice. Once their bags are packed, Sam and Alice make their way up to the League building, where they are permitted entry by the two trainers guarding the entrance. Sam and Alice agree to race their way through the Elite Four with the first person to reach the Champion getting the first shot at them. The door to the Pokémon League opens, and Sam and Alice run inside.
