Biography[]

As Meltan[]

During Beedrill’s clash with Zapdos at the Kanto power Plant, Meltan and it’s friends emerged from a Mystery Box that Zapdos left nearby. They then follow Poli out the power plant.

Meltan finally showed itself after Poli sent Golbat was sent to retrieve the poke flute from Pokémon tower. Poli then catches it shortly after.

Meltan was used to battle Giovanni’s rhydon but was quickly defeated. However, it did weaken the beast with flash cannon.

Shortly before entering the Kanto Pokémon league, Meltan calls forth it horde and evolves into Melmetal.

As Melmetal[]

Kanto[]

Melmetal makes its battle debut against Lorelei. It battles June but it’s instantly put to sleep by lovely kiss, and was withdrawn. It was later sent back out to battle cloyster and manages to defeat the bivalve Pokémon with well aimed Thunder punch at its head. Melmetal is then defeated by Lapras.

Melmetal then battles Bruno’s Machoke. After engaging it in a wrestling match, both Pokémon got taken out.

Melmetal was then used to battle Agatha’s Arbok. Using its steel type body, Melmetal muscles through the poison attacks and defeats Arbok. It then struggles against Haunter, and was withdrawn. Melmetal eventually deals the final blow to Gengar after Double Iron Bash and Shadow Punch collide.

Melmetal was used to battle Lance’s Dragonite. Although it struggled to reach Dragonite, Melmetal used Double Iron Bash to ascend into the sky and crush Dragonite with heavy slam.

Melmetal was used to battle blue’s Pidgeot, but was switched to Snorlax by Whirlwind. That said, it battles Machamp and is barely surviving after submission, which defeated Machamp. It was then taken out by Mega Charizard X’s Fire blast.

Melmetal was used in the quarter finals 4v4 against yet another Machamp. This time, it was overpowered by the superpower Pokémon’ s Submission. That said, Melmetal also defeated it by using Flash Cannon at it.

Hoenn[]

Poli swaps Melmetal in place of Masquerain after hearing about Steven stone's vist to dewford Town. Melmetal was used to battle steven's Mega Metagross in a friendly match, but loses, in spite of having learnt Mega Punch and Darkest Lariat, and even learning Submission in the process.

After Crawdaunt was defeated by Watson’s Magnemite, Melmetal was sent in as a replacement. Using its metal body, Melmetal discharged every Attack thrown at it by punching the ground. However, it realised it didn’t work so well, so he took a Thunder Attack while using Mega Punch to supercharge it, allowing it to ko magnemtie, and later Magneton. It failed to work against Manectric due to lightning rod, so Melmetal resorted to using Submission and Mega Punch to Attack Manectric, but was defeated by Thunder.

Melmetal was used to battle Primal kyogre, and manages to stand its ground long enough for rayquaza to break up the fight between the legendaries. Melmetal later battles rayquaza as a last resort after Poliwag, Crobat, Crawdaunt, Glalie and Snorlax were defeated by it. It grabs Rayquaza with Submission nad manages to deal a lot of damage to it, but it too also fell to Dragon Pulse. That said, Melmetal was seen psuhing lila to battle it before collapsing.

Sinnoh[]

Melmetal was seen flying infrom Kanto to attack Dialga and Palkia, who were mind controlled by Cyrus. Although he struggled at first by tiring to shoot Flash Cannons at them, even being sniped off Latios’ back by dragon pulse, Melmetal pulls out a Dynamax band as it falls below Spear Pillar and Gigantamaxes itself, using its size to deal with both legendaries at once with G Max Meltdown, which supressed their signature moves and allowed Latios to strike with Luster Purge while it used Max Darkness. Another blow from Max Knuckle and Ice Beam snapped them back to normal, but also caused Melmetal to faint after reverting. Latios then carries the koed Melmetal back to Kanto.

Personality[]

Meltan was a very meek Pokémon who rarely saw any use. That said, it never left Poli’s team and grew while watching its teammates battle.

After evolving into Melmetal, it had grown both physically and mentally. It’s strength was decent enough for it to handle Blue’s Machamp well, and it became more flexible in thinking, such as downing Dragonite with a Creative tactic. It also gained a friendly rival in Steven's Metagross.

Melmetal is aware of its Gigantamax abilities, which it did nit tell anyone about(except Latios). It is shown to be able to control his Gigantamax without any issue, but with his stamina being quickly depleted after the 3 turns he has using it.
