Team Flare is the group from which the main villains of the PokéTales entry Kalos Rejuvenated, created and written by 15bowdenc, originate. Formerly led by Lysandre, the organisation was reformed under a new leader, Malva. They originated from X and Y as the villainous team of the Kalos region, and made their debut in PokéTales in the second chapter.
Aims[]
Team Flare, like may evil teams before them, aim to steal as many Pokémon as possible to gather their strength, in order to become as powerful as they were during the Flare Crisis which brought them down three years prior. They have also been known to kidnap unsuspecting trainers to become members of their organisation.

- Malva - the leader of Team Flare, member of the Kalos Elite Four and former Holo Caster newsreader.
- Martha - Malva's protégé, and one of the youngest members of the organisation.
- Aliana - a senior member of the team who rejoined after it was disbanded three years prior to the start of the story.
- Mable - a senior member of the team known to be cold and calculating.
- Bryony - a senior member of the team known for having little to no sympathy for anyone.
- Celosia - a senior member of the team, and one of Team Flare's most loyal members.
- Chiara - a Team Flare grunt who guards cells in their hideout.
- Gia - a Team Flare grunt who guards cells in the Team Flare hideout.
- Sylvia - a 12-year-old trainer from Geosenge Town who was brainwashed and given psychic powers.
Former[]
- Lysandre - the ex-leader of Team Flare who abandoned the organisation and left the Kalos region without a trace after being defeated during the Flare Crisis.
- Xerosic - Lysandre's former second-in-command who ran a scheme after the Flare Crisis which was taken down by Looker and his next protégé, Emma. He later left the group when Malva put herself forward as leader.
- Bruce - a former Team Flare scientist who worked closely with Aliana, and was kicked out after not finding any Pokémon to steal over a long period of time.
Story[]
Kalos Rejuvenated[]
Team Flare made their first appearance to the Pokémon trainer Enzo on Route 10, attempting to steal his Pokémon; however, former member Xerosic appeared and fended them off. The defeated members, Aliana and Bruce, headed back to their hideout through the Reflection Cave, catching a Mr Mime along the way and battling former Team Rocket members Jessie and James. After returning to Malva, Bruce was thrown out of the organisation due to lacklustre performance, and the members (sans Aliana) conducted another operation to steal the Pokémon of Mathilde and Sylvia on the same route, and ended up capturing them and keeping them locked in their hideout. However, Bruce was able to rescue Mathilde from the cell with the help of his Joltik, and she managed to escape back to civilisation. However, Sylvia's fate was unknown to her; it turned out that Malva and Aliana had been experimenting on her, and using a control chip to guide her actions, and they later gave her psychic powers through an electrical device sending waves directly to her brain; Jessie and James were subject to these new powers when Malva discovered them in their hideout, searching for stolen Pokémon. Bruce, Jessie and James later returned in an attempt to rescue Sylvia, but Jessie and James were held hostage by Malva and Bruce was defeated by Sylvia, who threatened to turn him into a being with similar psychic powers. However, the Cyllage City Gym Leader Grant appeared, accompanied by Enzo and Mathilde, who defeated Malva using his Rock Pokémon. Jessie, James and Bruce were then rescued, which prompted the Team Flare leaders to exit the hideout via helicopter, leaving Chiara and Gia behind to be arrested and questioned by the authorities.
After their lucky escape from the hideout the Kalos Police Force began an investigation into Team Flare's dealings when Mathilde and Grant came forward. Meanwhile, Malva asked Mable to gather data near Geosenge Town to ensure their technology wouldn't have the same flaws as Lysandre's but she fled when she saw Enzo arrive.
