Team Protectorate is a team of Pokémon Trainers, similar in command structure to Team Rocket or Team Galactic, but, unlike those teams, actually assist in the defense against those teams. Team Protectorate's regular activities range from capturing members of Team Devastator (an alliance between Teams Rocket and Galactic) to rescuing people and Pokémon kidnapped by Team Devastator to even community service. Quite basically, their actions can be described as 'heroic'.
Team Protectorate's leader is the mysterious and enigmatic 'Protectorate', who's behavior masks a major secret.
