Whiteout
Flavor text Summons an extreme hailstorm that lasts as long as the user is out. Reverts to regular Hail when the user leaves battle.

Whiteout is an ability created by User:Alexs23743 for Tropes vs. Women in Pokémon Training.

Effect

In battle

This ability is essentially a clone of Desolate Land and Primordial Sea. It's an extreme version of Hail/Snow Warning that also does the following:

• Inflicts ¹/₈ HP on affected Pokémon each turn.
• Fire types can be affected by this weather, and take ¹/₁₆.
• The power of Ice moves is doubled.
• Moves of the types Ice is weak to are completely nullified, even status moves.
• All of Ice's resistances become immunities, as well.
• Abilities affected by Hail, such as Ice Body and Slush Rush, become twice as effective.
• This ability can't be cancelled by Clear Sky, Airlock, Cloud Nine, or any other weather except for the other "extreme" weather abilities (Desolate Land, Primordial Sea, and Delta Stream).
• In Tropes vs. Women, the weather abilities went back to being permanent after being nerfed in the Generation 6 games. To compensate for this, whenever the wielder of this ability leaves battle, the weather reverts back to regular Hail instead of stopping.

This ability does not function on the map.
